Jake Taylor went 3-3 at the plate, helping the Las Cruces Vaqueros (17-42) to an 8-4 victory over the White Sands Pupfish (33-25) on Sunday at Apodoca Park. He homered in the first inning and singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

Michael Ormseths 12 strikeouts helped the Las Cruces Vaqueros to the victory. Ormseth allowed two earned runs, five hits and three walks over nine innings.

Jeremy Sandifer couldnt get it done on the hill for the White Sands Pupfish, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out two.
