The Las Cruces Vaqueros (14-34) beat the Roswell Invaders (25-23) 10-3 on Wednesday thanks to a five-run eighth inning.

The Las Cruces Vaqueros scored in the eighth on a two-run triple by Marty Guevara, an RBI single by Kyle Cross, a steal of home by John Hotta, and an RBI single by Eddie Grimado.

Nick Howell reached base four times. He singled in the third and seventh innings.

Tyler Leguire struck out eight, paving the way for a the Las Cruces Vaqueros win. Leguire allowed no earned runs on eight hits and three walks over seven innings.

Corey Lathram-Skillman (3-6) took the loss for the Roswell Invaders. He allowed eight runs in seven innings, walked three and struck out eight.
